Title: Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P F2 BIOS
Post by: PaulB85 on February 01, 2015, 03:15:46 pm
Hi,

I've been looking for the F2 BIOS for the EX58-UD4P Motherboard, but i just can't seem to find it anywhere. I upgraded my BIOS yesterday to F13, and stupidly didn't back up my F2. Since upgrading, I've been having stability issues and OC'ing issues. I've tried pretty much every BIOS listed on the support page, but none are helping.

Also since upgrading, my BIOS is saying (depending on which version i use) that i have either 4GB or 8GB of RAM, when i have 12GB installed (6x2GB OCZ Platinum). I never had any of these problems on the F2 BIOS.

Does anyone know where i can find F2, or is there anyone who can provide me with a F2 backup they may have so that i can flash it on my motherboard?

Any help would be fantastic!

Thanks in advance.

Cant you try F3 ?

I've tried it, I've tried each BIOS from F3 to F14p BETA BIOS, and none of them are helping at all.
The only difference between them is the amount of RAM they report in BIOS, some say 4GB, others say 8GB. F2 was the only BIOS that reported 12GB RAM and was incredibly stable in Overclocking.

so it came with bios F2 then  am I right ?  All you have to do is make the dual bios kick in and you will be back at what it shipped with.

Thats what I thought, I managed to access the backup BIOS, but it appears that flashing 14p has overwritten the backup BIOS. So my backup BIOS is now 14p.

The only way i can get back on F2 is by actually finding someone who can provide me with a copy of it

Last resort is to email gigabyte support.
