Title: crackle in headphones - GA-G31M-ES2L
Post by: versatile on February 04, 2015, 12:47:58 am
Hello

I am using GA-G31M-ES2L motherboard. What I have found recently is that while watching a film, with my expensive superlux headphones, I can hear a crackling sound (not all the time but at times when the sound is lauder during a film). It is  annoying. The problem doesn't come up while using the headphones with a mp3 player.

Why is this happening?

Thanks

PS
Manual says the mobo owns high definition device. The drivers are installed. Why is this happening?

Had the same problem with a motherboard of mine seems the jack was wore out. I bought different speakers with a built in jack and that solved it. So either the jack is wearing out or the headphones are.

Can't be. I have brand new headphones. They can't be behind the fault.

So that leaves the jack on the motherboard. You will have to try a different set of headphones in the jack. Cant use speakers as that wont tell. Speakers will work in the jack but headphones may not. So try a different set of headphones and see if it makes a difference.
