Title: GA-Z68P-DS3 (rev. 1.0) bios update

i have GA-Z68P-DS3 (rev. 1.0) and intel i5 2500. My BIOS version is F5 but the cpu support list says i need BIOS ver.F9. Do i need F9 or i dont.

Yes you need F9 for that CPU.

CPU is working fine. What will change if i update to F9. I dont want do lose my stuff while updating BIOS, im not sure that the update will go fine so i dont have to install win again.

You will not lose your stuff if you update the bios. But if everything is working fine leave well enough a lone.

That CPU that you are using 2500 came out before the board so you should be fine. I don't understand why it is listed like that.

tnx for answering. That is why im asking it in here, cant see why do update if it is working. I even can OC my 2500 up do 3.9Ghz. If the F9 will not give me anything i think i will not update it. Last time i use the @BIOS update and i have to reinstal my op because it wont run enymore.

If it sees it right I am with  dmdilks as in don't mess with it. There is a saying if it isn't broke don't fix it.
