Hello,
I read this review that mentions the throttling of read burst speeds of the velociraptor by the GA-P55 boards: http://techreport.com/articles.x/17598/6
I'm planning on using an SSD drive so would like to ensure my motherboard of choice is not throttling this if possible.
My question is:
Will using a 6 Gb/s port on a GA-P55A range with a SataII SSD ensure that the channels on the motherboard are not throttling the SSD's performance?
I will be using a single Radeon 5770 GPU so will not feel any real impact of the PCI re-channeling when using the Sata3 port.
Thanks a lot for any info, I will be a first time Gigabyte buyer, for some reason preferring you over the Asus boards, but my only concerns are around this bottleneck.

As far as i'm aware all the "A" series boards (P55a, x58A) don't have the throttling issue
