im running 32gb of 1600 ddr3 win 7 pro 64 rating 7.7 windows index, but I was getting slower in games so I upgraded video cards and bought 2 asus gtx 780ti and hooked up in sli my pc started as normal then shut down normal sometime with hardware but then just went into an idle state and never got anything on my monitors, I pulled one video card and ran it with one worked perfect switched card al perfect switched pci slots worked perfect but when I tried sli again same blank screen. can my motherboard handle the more powerful cards, by the way im running 2 27"samsung monitors and if I posted wrong place I am sorry never used forums I am 57 and never had a problem before been building them all my life

What version board do you have? The version 1.0 only supports 2.0 card, where the 1.3 supports the 3.0 cards. The GTX-780ti needs 42A and a 600W PSU minimum.

im running the version 1.0 and I have upgraded my bios and I have a 13oo watt psu, are you telling me my board will not support these new high end video cards in sli and if so what socket 1155 gigabyte board would I ned to keep up tht wont be outdated I don't have the cash to build a new system

Look for a Z77 board all those boards support 3.0 video cards. Here is one board you could look at ga-z77x-ud5h
