Title: F2A88X-D3H and 2nd hard drive

Hi everyone
I have a F2A88X-D3H installed with only 1 peripheral - a WiFi card/antenna.
The boot drive is a 500GB WD green.
There are 2 DVD writers installed all work ok.
8 GB of corsair memory.
Win 7 64bit Home premium
My problem is that the board does not always see a 2nd hard drive that is attached - sometimes it shows up sometimes not.
Any ideas please or do I try another HDD?

All I can say is try changing the sata cable. If you haven't already tried that.

Very kind to suggest  an answer, however I had tried that.
The answer would appear to be dying motherboard, which seems to disappear whilst being accessed.

Have you try to update the bios to see if that would help.
