Title: Windows 10 TP 1074 and X99M Gaming 5 missing drivers
Post by: feinburgrl on April 30, 2015, 08:44:30 pm
I would like to know if anyone is using Windows 10? I have been using it at the start. When I built my computer, I decided to use Windows 10 over Windows 8.1 because it was free and I can test it on my machine. From the start I have always had driver issues that I could not install. The list is pretty long but I can run the OS with not much issues.

Here is my computer spec.
OS: Windows 10 TP 10074 CPU: Intel i7 5820K @ 4.0Ghz
Motherboard: Gigabyte X99M Gaming 5 Memory: DDR4 16GB 2400Mhz
SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 120GB, WD 3TB 7200RPM GPU: eVGA Geforce 970
Monitor: Dell UltraSharp U2312HM Case: Corsair Air 240
CPU Fan: Corsair H75 Liquid Cooling

That looks like Chipset driver (Intel INF installation) which is the very first thing to install. Then the Intel Management Engine Interface. Since a specific chipset driver is not available for Windows 10 yet, just install the equivalent Windows 8.1

I tried one of the first Windows 10 previews and that's exactly what I did (Just like installing any other O/S) and about 90% of it was updated. Then just the usual device drivers, and of course the GPU and Audio drivers.

Contact Microsoft or Intel. Maybe they have what you need.
