Title: Gigabyte GA-H61M-D2V And HD 6670 Problem
Post by: sgthartley on May 07, 2015, 01:34:11 pm
Hey Im having issues with my motherboard detecting my hd 6670 graphics card, the fan spins up but when I try to use the hd 6670 I get nothing but a blank screen when its powered and it appears to boot all the way into windows but no display. Ive tried disabling the on board vga etc to no avail, my NVidia 210 card works in the board, and the hd 6670 works in another machine. I have the latest bios revision installed and im stuck for answers the specs to the machine are as follows.

 Intel G620 CPU
 Gigabyte GA-H61MA-DV2 REV 2.1 Bios F7A
 4GB Corsair XMS3 1333Mhz
 VTX3D HD 6670 1GB GDDR5
 500w PSU.

Any solution to this would be really appreciated I have googled for a good couple of days and seen other people with similar boards have this problem but the solution the used didn't work.

Email gigabyte support and see if they have an updated bios so the card will work.

Sometimes gigabyte has bios'es to fix problems like yours which is why I asked you to email them.  I had an older video card on a brand new motherboard so I emailed them and they sent me a bios to fix it and now it works great. I also had to email them because I had an older motherboard that a new video card did not work on and they sent me a bios to it also.
