Title: GA-MA69G-S3H : memory frequency
Post by: robw47 on June 03, 2015, 06:09:37 pm
I have build for my neighbour a PC with this mobo.
Processor 4850E running at 2505 MHz and 2x 2Gb DDR2-800 memory running at 35 8MHz.
This info is being displayed by CPU-Z and HWinfo64.
CPU-Z also display FSB:DRAM CPU/7 and yes 2505/7 = 358.
When I select DDR2-400 in the bios, then the freq is 192,8 (CPU/13)
When I select DDR2-533 in the bios, then the freq is 250 (CPU/10)

The only way I found out to get 400 MHz for DDR2-800 is a modify of the multiplier from 12.5 to 12.
Then I see CPU/6 (2400/6).
But I find this very strange, the X2 4850E is a 2.5 GHz proc (12.5 x 200).

Can someone explain this. I haven't seen this before at other branches of mobo.
Have I missed a bios option?

By the way, I am a old Dutch guy, I hope my English is readable enough.

Running Memtest86+, Isee RAM : 417MHz (DDR835) DDR2
