Title: Z77X-UD3H failing to power up, any advice?
Post by: TheEvilMrFry on June 09, 2015, 04:36:33 pm
Pretty much as the title states really. I was looking to fit a new PSU and g1 gaming gtx970, but having fitted the psu and trying to boot the computer, it fails to do anything other than a very brief illumination of a case fan led, shows what looks like a red 'j' on the error code lcd, then does nothing more. I've bridged the fan connection on the psu, and solely ran a case fan from it, and that works fine, as soon as it's connected to the motherboard however it gives off a loud solenoid click with the quick led flash as above.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried the board outside the case to see if it isn't shorting out on some thing.
