Title: Installing Windows 8 64 on Z68x-ud3h-b3, should I install U1L UEFI bios?
Post by: John Galt on June 16, 2015, 01:39:35 am
I'm doing a fresh install of Windows 8 64 on my Z68x-ud3h-b3 motherboard, should I install U1L UEFI bios or stick with F12?

What problems will I have with U1L?

I do not use dual boot or operating systems other than Windows 8 on this computer.

I don't use any of the gigabyte utilities.

I don't manually overclock my system, but I am currently using the Intel extreme tuning utility. I can live with losing that if it will not work with UEFI and there is no alternative.

Personally, I would stick with the F12. When I tried running UEFI BIOS on my Z68 board I had nothing but trouble.
