I have a problem which I cannot figure how to solve.
I build up a new PC with Gigabyte P67A-D3-B3 and I have 2 SSD drives connected to SATA 0 and 1 (2 6Gb/s ports), in bios, PCH SATA Control Mode set to RADI (XHD). In Intel raid utility I configured the array (striped) but I'm not able to boot from any device to install OS, not even from external USB devices like flash drive and external DVD drive, it getting stuck on "Loading Operating System..."
PC not freezes, if I press ctrl+alt+del it restars, just cannot pass the "Loading Operating System..." phase.
Boot sequence set to "Hard drive", "USB-HDD", "USB-CDROM"
Hard disk priority set to "USB-HDD0" as first which is my boot-able flash drive with Acronis True Image on it (checked the flash drive on other computer and it boots fine).
If I set PCH SATA Control Mode as IDE, it boots fine. This issue appears on RAID mode and AHCI mode.
Any Ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Michael.

What are OS are you trying to install?

I'm trying to boot to flash drive/DVD drive to load Acronis True Image.
I forgot to mention that I installed additional PCI-E Raid controller (RocketRaid 620) and that's what caused the problem.
When I pulled out the Raid controller, it started to boot.
Now I ask why it won't boot when I have additional controller installed?

Have you tried to make a boot CD of Acronis True Image?

miller84,
Acronis boot media does not support a PCIe based rocket RAID controller natively. You will need to create WinPE boot media with the rocket RAID driver for bootable USB or DVD.

I guess not only Acronis. I tried to boot from Win 8.1 installation DVD and from usb flash drive, tried Hiren's boot cd 15.2, tried Acronis True Image 2013 and 2015 and nothing! It just won't boot.
I had to pull out the PCI-E controller and leave it out.

This might work or not. Try changing all your boot option to the USB. That is 1st, 2nd & 3rd. One other thing is try and disabled the EFI CD/DVD Boot Option.
