Hi all,
i'm trying to have 32gb (4 x Transcend JM1600KLH-8G) on my 3970k on this mainboard.
As other, the MIT status show 32Gb when windows 10 home see only 24gb of memory.
I tried to update to F20, clear cmos, load default value and leave all memory setting to safe value without overclock anything. Still 24 gb.
Thanks in advance
Renato

Greetings,
-Try removing all but one stick and see if the system will start and boot into windows. If it does, shut down gracefully, reseat the other DIMM's and retest.
-Try setting the memory timings manually in BIOS
-You can also try to force it in msconfig.
(Windows + R), type "msconfig", press OK.
Under "Boot" Tab click on "Advanced Options" and check "Maximum Memory" and select 32768.
Press OK and Apply.
Reboot.

Hi, thanks for the answer, i just need to try the manual timing, seem that the bank B, every memory fail there.
I just miss the manual timing, the Msconfing can't be put to 32768.. stucked max to 24gb.
I need to know the correct timing to set them in the bios..
I already tried some years ago to put 4 dimms on X79 mainboard, i changed also the Asus X79 with 8 dimm because same problem, 8 dimm x4gb never i see all 32gb.
Now i worked a year with 3 x 8gb and and after i added another equal module, the older problem with the X79 come out again .. :)
I'm thinking to switch to the x99.. maybe this problem is resolved.
Sorry for my english.
Best Regards
Renato
