Title: CPU Fan Warning
Post by: jefferios on November 07, 2015, 03:30:29 pm
I just put BIOS F3 on my 990FXA UD3 Rev 4.0, and noticed the CPU FAN does not turn on after a system resume (following sleep)

My CPU reached 79°C several times before I realized what was going on.

Using version 2 (F2) works as designed.

You are not the first to run into this. If you contact Gigabyte, you will likely be given a beta bios (F4a) that seems to fix this problem. It is a mystery why the F3 bios has not been removed or replaced on their web site - the issue is a serious one that has been known for many months.
