Greetings,
I have just purcached 2 sticks of KVR13N9S6/2 (DDR3 2GB FSB 1333 PC3 10600 CL9 240 pin RAM).
i have mounted them on my mobo and i observe that in Bios only 510 MB are recognised and not 4GB of ram.
I run Win7 32b and Ubuntu 14.04 32b. Both operating systems recognise only 510MB of ram.
Is this an OS issue that i can solve with installing a 64b OS or do some patching, or is it a HW issue i cant overcome?
MOBO: GA-P35C-DS3R rev 1.x F12
proccesor: Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6550 (4M Cache, 2.33 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB)
RAM: 2x KVR13N9S6/2 (DDR3 2GB FSB 1333 PC3 10600 CL9 240 pin RAM)
Thank you in advance,
Christos

what bios are you using. could be that or swap into different slots. might be the ram.

As i wrote before, I had to update my BIOS to the F12 version.
The p35c ds3r MOBO has two slots of DDR3 ram. What i did was to put each of the sticks to both slots (one at the time).
The amount of recognised ram didnt change (~250MB/stick).
Thank you
