Title: GIGABYTE GA 78 LMT USB 3. IS IT LINUX Compatible ??
Post by: Taffod on November 29, 2015, 11:04:30 pm
Hi,

Thinking about buying one of these boards.

But can anyone tell me , if would work well running Linux esp UBUNTU 14.04?

I've just had  a bad experience with an ASROCK board that I'm having to send back so would appreciate any prior knowledge with this one please?

Thanks,

Mike

Hey dude, I don't know much about the linux regarding the kernels/flavors/drivers etc. But I found a community where a user says that the motherboard works perfectly in the "Rebecca" release of "Linux Mint".

I don't know if you can use that information to determine the compatibility for Ubuntu.

Thanks,  K3.

That's very handy to know.  I cant get into that chat room as it now only allows MINT users in.

But that's what I needed to know anyhow.  UBUNTU and MINT share the same kernel and some.

Thanks,

Mike
