Title: GTX 770 OC 4GB PCIe x16 Running at x8 problem
Post by: avivi on December 05, 2015, 04:21:31 pm
Hello

My Asus P7P55D support PCIe x16 2.0 (x16_1 blue) and that's the slot I'm currently using for Gigabyte GTX 770.
Maybe someone can help me understand why HWinfo64 show me that I'm running x8 (half bandwidth)?

Nothing else connected to the other slot, all empty. Everything works fine and cool (Zalman) at 30c/55c.

Windows 7 Ult x64, Intel i5-750 @4.0Ghz, G.Skill 4GB 1600MHz 7-7-7-24

I don't get it, PLEASE HELP.   :-[

Unbelievable. I open the case, clean the little dust that was over the card and everything is back to normal (x16 @ x16). Problem solved! :)
