Post by: aabigorn on April 07, 2010, 06:36:38 am
Hi, i am a  real fan of gigabyte products

now i'm considering to  buy a new AMD motherboard to work with Microsoft server 2008 hyper V

i have amd phemon II X4 945 processor

i'am considering to buy this motherboard model: GA-785GMT-USB3
the question is does this model support hyper V 64 bit? if not than please advise what model does

the computer i'm building is not a server, it is a high-end desktop computer for testing environment (i am on a tight budget)

thank you in advance..  :)

Hi,

This board (which is AMD not Intel platform) will run Microsoft Server 2008 hyper V 64 bit.
To enable Virtualization, you will have to make a change in BIOS, as this option is set to disabled by default.
