Title: GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3 On-Board ethernet
Post by: jimdot on February 22, 2016, 02:20:09 pm
I just noticed in my connection for the On-Board Ethernet configuration it says it's running at 100MB & If I'm correct it should show as 1000GB,,, shouldn't it???

I also went into the BIOS & took a look at it & it also says 100mb in the test.

How do I get things bump up to that 1000gb speed? Could the integrated Ethernet be going bad?

Thanks in advance to anyone whom can enlighten me.

There are several other things you need to look at. Specifically, you need to be connected to a router or other device that supports gigabit ethernet, and be using Cat 5 or better quality ethernet cable.

Okay. Thanks. I had completely overlooked the router aspect in my rush to resolve the issue. I'll be looking into that to be sure.
