Title: Power supply for GA-Z170X - 6
Post by: kozybaby on March 20, 2016, 03:13:54 pm
I just replaced my Mothyerboard with the GA-Z170X. I have a corsair 750W power supply.Processor in the Intel I7, cooler is Coolermaster Hyper 2112 Evo, 64n gigs of RAM. When attempting to start up systems it goes on for 3 seconds and then off, then back on for 3 seconds then off. Do I not have enough power or is this something else?

Unless your PSU became unexplainably defective, its something else.

Disconnect PSU from power - Perform a battery pull (replace and retest)

That's a lot of RAM..  Is it on the QVL from your board?  Have you tried starting with just 2 DIMMs installed?

Do you have ANY other cards installed on the machine?
Please remove and reseat your memory
Confirm all electrical connections (reseat all)
12v CPU, 24 Pin main power, CPU fan to CPU_FAN header
retest

Still failing
Check your CPU socket
Remove and check for bent PINs
Reseat CPU, Fan and retest

Please report your results, progress
