Title: Please recommend cpu cooler for GA-Z170X gaming 7 with Core i7 6700k

I appreciate any recommendations for CPU air cooler. Personally in the past I have always used air coolers to avoid the possibility of any leakage or damage with water coolers but will reconsider based on your input.

The hyper 212 EVO cooler dmdilks recommends is one of the best entry to mid grade coolers available.  It's become a standard for aftermarket air.

Don't be afraid of water.  Any of the Corsair water coolers are excellent choices as well.

I use the Corsair H110 in push/pull and it's great. My case has a fan controller with 3 speeds but I never have to move it from low. All fans are Very quiet.
Any of the Corsair coolers are good. as shadowsports said.
