Title: Can't install Windows 10 on h110m-a
Post by: Dramey on May 08, 2016, 07:04:27 pm
I have a h110m-a board, one stick of Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 DRAM 2666MHz, a 240g Corsair ssd drive and an i3-6300.

I am trying make a clean install. I've tried the ram in both slots. I've tried installing from 3 separate drives and I've tried installing from a memory stick. So far I've had the best luck with he stick, but I'm still not there yet. After 10-15 install attempts that crapped out at different points during the install, I finally got all the files on the computer and now it endlessly reboots when trying to boot from the ssd. I tried repairing, but that isn't working probably because the install isn't completely finished.

I'm sure the SSD works, I was using it for data in another machine. Everything else is brand new. I only have the one DDR4 stick so no way of swapping it out unless I order another, which I might do. It has to be the ram, the board or user error at this point.

Any suggestions?

It is more likely the memory. Try and run it at the default setting of the CPU -1866/2133. What I saying is put you XMP to auto and not at 2666.

Thanks for the reply. Just checked though and it looks like it defaulted to 2133. :/

I may just grab another stick of ram, and if that doesn't work RMA the board.
