Title: Boot Manager Screen in Z97X-SLI
Post by: JOHNo356 on June 09, 2016, 01:45:18 pm
I installed this board 2 years ago and had to do a re-install of Win 7 yesterday.  Now, when I boot the system I get a Boot Manager screen asking me to select the operating system. I click on Win 7 and the startup completes.

How do I get rid of this screen?  Can't find any place in BIOS to do it.   Thanks for any help.

When you reinstalled windows did you delete all partition or just the large one and not the system one. You can try this right click on my computer / properties / Advanced system settings / Advanced / Startup and recovery / settings. In there you can change thing for the startup.

dmdilks, thanks for the reply.  I formatted all partitions before the install, but Boot Manager was giving me three choices when it came up, two of them were dead.  I found the solution in MSCONFIG.  Open it and go to the boot tab where you have the opportunity to delete the two dead Windows 7 that were showing. That solved the problem-- no more Boot Manager screen.
