Title: Z170X Gaming 7 PWM value /C is too high for CPU fan
Post by: Jacmac on June 30, 2016, 10:43:29 pm
I see in the BIOS that you can control the Fan Speed Percentage by "manual" control. Unfortunately, manual in this case isn't manual, because the PWM ratio can't be set lower than 0.75, which is way too high for my water pump. At 0.75, it's running at over 3000 RPMs, I'd be happy around 1500 RPMs. I'd rather just set it to a fixed speed, than the ratio anyway. Is there any way around the limitation in the BIOS?

Obviously I assume everyone already knows that Speedfan doesn't detect any fans at all on this motherboard, which if I had known, I never would have bought this thing.
