Hi,
I'm building a computer right now and i've attached the bare minimum to get it to run (VGA, CPU, Memory) and it's not doing anything after I power it up. I'm getting an error code 68 but it's not listed in the manual and a quick Google search just tells me that it's a reserved number. Any ideas on what's going on?
Thanks.

Sweet.
So it's still stuck displaying 68 on the display. The code corresponds to "PM Init". Would that be an indication that the motherboard's DOA?

I have the same issue as you..i even remove the vga in hopes to see if the error code changes...
My finding were
1.bare Chip itself give me code 62
2. With ram gives me back code 68
3. With GTX 295 same code 68...
I really don't know what's going on...I using triple channel Hyper X ram (6gb) with 980x...

If you are using a 980x in the board that code indicates the bios doesn't support the CPU.
You will need to put in an another i7 (920, 930) and flash the bios to at least f4 but f6 would be the better option.
This happened to me and i had to take it to a shop and pay $50 for them to flash the bios as i didn't have another i7 to use.
Cheers,
