Title: Z170x Gaming 7 Ram issue

Just bought the Z170x Gaming 7 motherboard with two ripjaw V 8gb sticks. The ram will go into the slot but the end latches don't close all the way like they do when nothing is inserted in the slot. is this normal?

Nope.

The RAM modules should sit firmly in the slots and the clips should engage to hold them in place. If the clips aren't engaging, check and double check that you have inserted the RAM correctly.
