Title: No USB power during POST
Post by: todda7 on September 14, 2016, 04:35:54 pm
I have an Z87X-UD3H with BIOS F10.

During POST, I get no power to the USB ports. I've tried 3 keyboards (Corsair with BIOS mode, Filco), and two mice; back ports and front ports (internal USB headers). After POST, when Windows loads, they all get power and work perfectly.

This means that I cannot enter BIOS.

What's going on?

After turning the computer completely off, and waiting a couple of seconds before turning it on again, instead of rebooting from the operating system, solved the problem.

Mighty irritating.

You could also use a ps2 keyboard to get into Bios. That doesn't require usb power. My old P67 board had that issue.
