Title: GA-890GPA-UD3H fails to boot with ram in slot #2
Post by: Barracuda on April 22, 2010, 09:47:23 pm
Hi, I purchased this motherboard and this ram ( CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model CMX8GX3M4A1333C9 ). When i place the sticks of ram in each slot the board boots up except for the second blue colored slot. no combo will work if ram is placed in that slot but all other combos work. processor is AMD Phenon 2 x4 955 black edition 3.5ghz quad core. Any help much appreciated, thanks.

hi normaly on most o/s you have to boot & insall windows with 2 gig max then after up and running you can put in what ever 3.5 gig for 32bit o/s some times 4 gig depending on the ram & 7gig for 64 bit o/s sometimes 8  . as ram is plug & play no bios changes neaded

hope this helps
