Hello,
My computer will reboot sometimes when I plug in a usb device (flash mem, camera, usb extention...) Does not matter which plug (front/back)...
I tried installing a usb3.0 PCIe device into the computer. Unplugging everything from the computer usb ports, and disabling the computer usb ports in the bios.
Then reboted the machine, and started plugging in my periphrials into the 4 avail usb3.0 ports from the card. I got to the the 4th plug, and plugged in a plain usb2.0 extenison and it rebooted.
I have changed out the hard drive, the power supply, ran check disk, and ran system repair.
This is been going on for some time, and I cannot pinpoint when it started.
Any help debuggin this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Cap

Update,
I have been doing countless hours of research, and may have found a fix.
My Cooler Master Cosmos SE case may have a shorted out front panel (or specifically the reset switch). Apparently others have had this issue.
I have removed the plugs for both the reset, and the power switch (the front panel usb is already removed) from the motherboard.
I created a new power switch, that I am using temporarily to see if this fixes the glitch. fingers crossed. No issues after 24 hrs.

I have several CM cases. Elite, Centurion, HaF... Searched the CM forums and didn't see any mention of bad/shorting switches. I can tell you however that CM will replace faulty components under warranty. I've had a few case fans replaced. You're down for a week, but they will take care of you. Good Luck.
