Title: b150n Phoenix
Post by: brunoland on November 13, 2016, 06:40:05 pm
Hello!
I bought this motherboard and was quite a bit surprised with discovery. I can wakeup PC only by PS/2 port and not by USB port?
If this is so, how the hell in these modern days you can not add usb support or both. It would be a common sense if only one would be chosen, then only USB port would be logical to chose.
I don't know anybody who use PS/2 port anymore.

So I have 2 questions:
1.) Will in the future bios build be a USB support?
2.) Will PS/2 to USB adapter work in wakeup procedure?

Welcome to the forms.

Based on everything I could find or read about your board, it only appears to support wake by PS/2 keyboard or mouse...  or wake on LAN or Power On By Alarm.  I could not find ANY bios setting or support for wake by USB.  An adapter won't work if the bus isn't receiving +5V power.  I wouldn't hold your breath.  If you are using with a PSU that supplies 5V power, ensure ErP is disabled and try with a USB keyboard or mouse..  but I wouldn't expect to see this support in a future BIOS release on a board that is nearly 2 years old now that doesn't have it already.
