Is it standard practice for Gigabyte to send out items without their own Gigabyte seal on the box? Last time I bought from gigabyte(3 years ago) it had a Gigabyte seal.
While I'm here, there was no warranty/guarantee card in the box. I take it the amazon invoice is my guarantee?
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums.
While its not your fault you received a product that had been opened... Its not Gigabytes fault either.
My advice, contact Amazon. They sold you the "open" box.

First, thanks for the welcome.
Second, I wasn't trying to aim blame at anyone. I was asking if it was common practice, by Gigabyte, to not seal boxes.
I take it from your response that it should have been sealed?
Already been in touch with Amazon, who's response was less than helpful. I was just trying to find out from here if anyone else has had packaging from Gigabyte unsealed.

From my own experiences, having purchased Gigabyte motherboards and GPU's, usually the outer box is not sealed nor does it usually have a cellophane wrapping.
The motherboard/GPU has, however, been wrapped inside a sealed anti-static bag, inside the box.

To second what absic has said. My only experience is with gigabyte MB's. Only the static bag is sealed. Box can be opened freely. I don't know about GPU's... only buy/use EVGA... and they come with a seal that has to be broken to open the box. Take a close look at the gold plating where the card gets inserted into the PCIe slot. You should be able to tell if the card has been installed previously.

Probably depends on the country's consumer laws...
here in Australia in general nothing (electronics) is packed in a sealed condition
Same for all Gigabyte products hence you never know when a shop sells on returned products (which is very common in this country.)

dont worry. enjoy for videocard.
mine from states also came without sealed stamp.
Gigabyte series 1060 are top noch.
