And what are the fastest memory modules for my I7 4790k setup?

Understand something unless you are doing video editing it really a waste of time going to 32gb of memory. Your computer will only use so much memory and that is it. You can put in the 32gb if you want.
But again stay with the 1600 memory because the faster memory will run about the same speed as 1600. The other thing is you might have a hard time finding 3000 memory. Plus it will cost you maybe between $550 to $700 for it too.
The best thing you can do is go with a lower Cas Latency. They will run faster than the 3000 memory. Look at the memory at gigabyte for that board. (Qualified Vendors List (QVL) http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4952#

Hi. I do some video edit now an then and wan't to be sure that the mobo can handle a 8gb stick times 4:)
I'm considering upgrad to skylake i7 6700k but is it worth the upgrade? Or maybe even a 6900K with new mobo:)
On the other hand i think my i7 4790k handle video quite well.
Thank you for the quick respond.

Okay. But should i stay with haswell or is it worth upgrading to Skylake?
-
You should be fine with what you have. Unless the software state you need one type vs another. On a i7 if you are using windows 7 you will have 4 park core. There are some programs that will help unpark them.
Now if you are using windows 8 or 10 no need they will all be unpark. They did that in 7 to save power on laptops.
-
I'm on win 10 pro so i'll guess all 4 cores are fine:) What does that mean, unpark?
-
Microsoft and the CPU companies park cores to save power. They would unpack when at a point when you really needed them. In windows 8, 8.1 & 10 Microsoft they took that out and all your cores are running all the time.
