Title: Z170x gaming 3 long bios boot
Post by: lapioks on January 19, 2017, 09:08:08 am
Hi. I have Gigabyte Z170x gaming 3 eu rev 1.0 mobo, ddr4 kingston furry X 2x8GB 2666mhz, i5 6600k (non overclocked), m.2 951 samsung ssd 256GB, toshiba 500GB ssd, 1TB HDD, GPU gigabyte 1070 xtreme, psu corsair rm 1000. When pc is starting it takes 10 seconds before windows 10 starts loading. All disk configuration is uefi bios and boot is ultrafast. Can I make those 10 seconds to be 1-2 seconds?

Not really.

The first 10 seconds, or so, is the motherboard going through POST and checking that all of the components are working correctly, prior to Booting into the OS.

My ancient pc boots faster with hdd. So I am starting to lose trust in gigabyte products.
