Hi all,
I bought a u2442n a few years back and have now run into significant issues with it.
I managed to upgrade to win10 with it which worked for a few months but after a few issues appeared it required a format and reinstall. Upon reinstalling 10 it would freeze on the login page every time after multiple reinstalls. I managed to revert it with some difficulty to its factory default of 8.0. After a lot of issues with windows updates and having to revert again as most drivers would brick the machine i managed to get it to 8.1.
This is where i am now. The laptop is a brick. 8.1 causes it to freeze on boot and will not let me revert or uninstall it. I just get errors saying the refresh/diagnosis/format cannot be completed.
Any suggestions on how to proceed? My only current thought is to replace the msata and start again. Has anyone tried this so far?
