i have the GA-MA790X-UD3P and just installed the latest bios (F7A) , but i have noticed that the highest x6 cpu supported is the Phenom II X6 1055T 95w . why does it only support the 95w version and not the 125w versions that are onsale now (95w versions not out yet ? ) , yet this board supports upto 140w cpu's ?

nobody know this ?

if you look at the specs on the new X6 few the 965 is still more power full & will be untill the next genaration come out end of this year start of next year , the phenom II X6 is more for server based
hope that helps

It looks like X6 support is being tacked on to AMD 7 series chipset boards
8 Series being the native ones.
new architecture can behave differently on chipsets designed before the tech was released, so it probably wont be just down to wattage support.
good luck
