Title: Can Gigabyte P35-DS4 Run SSD Drive?
Post by: desktop on May 03, 2010, 07:27:53 pm
I have a GA-P35-DS4 board (rev 2.1). I was wondering if this board can run an SSD drive? And if so is there a certain type I would need to buy?

Thanks.

Yes you will have no problem with any SSD on that mobo as it uses the Intel ICH9R chipset to control the sata ports.  Whether that chipset supports the trim function in Windows 7, I am not sure.  I know that the newer ICH10R chipset supports it.  Best of luck!!!
