Title: GA-P67-D3-B3 Kinect v2 xbox one not working
Post by: ektwr on May 29, 2017, 09:19:44 pm
Dear friends
I have a GA-P67-d3-b3 rev1.0 with F7 bios.
CPU Intel i7 3.4Ghz
My GPU card is Ati Radeon HD5970.
Total Ram =16GB corsair in 4X4 GB /1600Mhz.
OS Windows 8.1 64 pro
Now my problem is strange but i need you opinion about it.
I bought a kinect v2 xbox one device with the appropriate microsoft adapter kit.
I put an external PCI-e USB3 card Transcend PDU3 with Renesas controler as i was advised into PCI-e X16 slot.
Kinect v2 needs all the bandwidth so i plug it into USB3 port from the above card.
When i do the kinect verifycation test for compatible USB3 ports, i get a red X mark.
My question is:
Does anyone managed to have a working kinect v2 device with the same motherboard?
Is there any good way to check if the PCI-e X16 slot i use works in full speed?
TIA

Welcome,
Take note. Rev 1.x board

1.1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16)
 * For optimum performance, if only one PCI Express graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16 slot.
2.1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x4 (PCIEX4)
 * When the PCIEX1_2 or PCIEX1_3 slot is populated with an expansion card, the PCIEX4 slot will operate at up to x1 mode.
3.3 x PCI Express x1 slots
(All PCI Express slots conform to PCI Express 2.0 standard.)
4.2 x PCI slots

Top full size PCIe x16 slot operates at x16.  The full size slot below operates at x4.  If you populate any of the PCIex1~3, the lower x4 slot will operate at x1 due to resource limitations.

If you aren't getting connectivity, the USB chipset on the expansion card is probably not compatible with the Kinect v2.  Another card might work.  What happens if you use one of the 3.0 ports on the Etron controller?

This is my EVGA Control Panel..  Check your Catalyst GUI for the same info.
