Has anyone else with this board noticed that the C1 Disable doesnt work that it still goes to power saver. Also the cpu gadget for multi core wont register on this board.? Also has anyone tried 8 gigs of 1600 ram on this board if so how does it handle it?
-
Well no answer to this boards bios being wrong i have another week then i can return it for a refund.
-
Just joined to say that I am too having this problem. Just sent a ticket requesting at least a beta BIOS to try.
Also, I have reason to believe that Cool N' Quiet is also causing stability problems I am having. Utilizing 100% of the CPU only has the VCore run at 1.28v (the default voltage for a 1090T is 1.45v) Since it can't be disabled ATM, I can't test my theory

They prolly wont answer you they havent me and its been a few days since i last tried. If they dont care enough to answer i will return board no biggie to me.

A quick question will this board run 8 gigs at 1600. I know it says it will but has anyone done it with sucess?
-
Hi,
Sorry but I don't have any answers for you. :'(
This forum, is run by Gigabyte and they do look at the posts, but I reckon over 98% of the answers to questions raised come from other users rather than Gigabyte themselves. As this is quite a new board and not many people will be running 8 gigs of RAM there are most probably not many users with that configuration hence the reason you have not had a response yet.
If you really need a quicker response (although it might still take several days) you would be better off raising a query directly with Gigabyte, here's the link: http://ggts.gigabyte.com.tw/tech.asp?ClassID=2&Country={UK}&SourceWeb=B2C

I'm running 8GB of A-Data DDR3 1600 8-8-8-24 fine over here....by fine, I mean being able to execute memtest86+ for more than 8 hours without error. My system still isn't stable yet :P
Pesty random application errors and BSODs....the errors rear out it's ugly head especially when playing games. I pretty much stressed-test everything I can think of....Furmark on the video card, Prime95 on the processor (even while playing HD video and typing this message.) I'm leaning more torwards the BIOS, since there are obvious flaws that need fixing.
I'm just hoping for a BIOS fix this week.....I got a weekend LAN Party next weekend, too :(

Hey Kirby
have a mess around with your audio drivers, (maybe try disabling onboard audio)
my BSOD's cleared up with the latest driver from Realtek.

Bios F2 is even worse it only runs cpu at 800 mghtz no matter what you do.
-
well core 0 runs at 800 the rest run as they are supposed to
-
This is interesting, I'm running version F2, board rev. 2.0 and the processors clock speeds are all at 2812.711 MHz, reported by reading /proc/cpuinfo in Linux. This machine has has a uptime of a few days with no problems. The processor is, reported by Linux, a AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 20 Processor, but it's really a X3 with the extra core unlocked.
I do plan on running this board with 8 GB of memory, once they get a switch for IOMMU in the BIOS so I can do some cool virtualization with Windows guests. I'm going to keep complaining about this until I get a good answer. :P

Well to clairify to be exact all cores are running at 3.2 that is except core 0. It is reported at 800 mghtz in amd monitior, amd overdrive, cpuz.
I have to rule out the processor because in bios F1 they all show as 3.2 except for when the c1e is enabled which it always is, can disable it but it doesnt work. But core 0 thru 5 all run at 3.2 untiol bios F2 in which the core 0 reads 800 and the rest 3200. Might have something to do with the c1e setting in bios then again in bios it only shows 4 cores and not sure whats up with that. That could be the whole problem is that bios only sees 4 cores but if it is why does amd monitior show all six. Just plain weird.

I have had the same problem for over a week and it's driving me nuts, C1E disable, Cool n Quiet disable, Turbo mode disabled and yet the first core keeps throttling down to 800mhz whilst all the others retain their overclock perfectly.
Please fix this urgently. ???
P.S. I am using a 1090T processor with F2 BIOS.
I'm going to try reverting back to the F1 BIOS after reading the previous post.
EDIT: Same crap with F1, please fix this.
-
F1 works fine for me on all cores only problem with it is if i have it clocked to 3.6 then it always throttles back to 3200 when not in use. Which is better than 800 on one core.
-
I'm with bios F2 and I have random BSODS (no sense), no overclocking at all. CPU temperature is 25 degrees celsius (corsair h50 pushpull) and all other components are between 36 to 40 degrees celsius
My cpu is a X6 1090T and cpu core0 also runs at 800 Mhz and all others at 3200Mhz. I think we need a new bios ASAP
-
Id go back to F1 till it came out i did and it seemed better than the first time
-
Back to bios F1, same settings as for F2--> all BSODS gone
However with bios F1 issues with vcore..., but at least works...

I do want to note i can run 8 gigs of memory with this processor seems stable to me will run prime95 make sure it is then im good.
