Title: Motherboard Z170-Gaming K3-EU and no support SGX in BIOS
Post by: ChairFraiche on August 15, 2017, 09:39:38 am
Hello, I have a Z170-Gaming K3, I recently update the BIOS to F22 to support Kaby Lake (from a Skylake 6700K) and UltraHD with my new Pioneer optical drive and a 4KUHD Blu-ray to test (Assassins' Creed) but after installation of a PowerDVD 14 mod for reading it, I have an SGX error (can't support SGX in BIOS). SGX is supported by Kaby Lake (by  my 7700K). Can we have a future BIOS update to support IntelĀ® Software Guard Extensions (IntelĀ® SGX) ?

Sorry to hear about your issue.  SGX while supported by your CPU in not implemented on your board.  A handful of the Z170 boards received this support.  I also saw a application under the utilities downloads on some of the non EU boards which added the support later.

most/all of the Z270 boards seem to have it now.  Can't say if you'll see this in a future update.  Hope so  :)

Thank you and I will wait for a few time before change my recent (2016) big configuration. I don't think there will be a miracle.
