Title: AB350N WIFI, black screen, How to reinstall bios now?
Post by: jalanga on October 05, 2017, 03:03:08 pm
Hi,

As the title says I have a motherboard AB350N WIFI.
I built my pc, and after few attempts with the black screen it worked.
Next day I was updating my wifi driver, the desktop was very laggy so I decide to restart. BOOM black screen back and I can't do anything.
CPU: Ryzen 1700x
GPU: Nvidia 1060 6GB
RAM: DDR4 2400Mhz dual channel
SSD: YES

I have no error sounds, and the led's are not working.

I tried to:
- clear the cmos with jumper
- remove the cmos battery
- remove the wifi

The big question is how can I flash my bios with the latest version?
Thank You!

These AB350 Ryzen boards appear to plagued with the blank screen, no POST behavior.  Some have great luck, others don't.  These boards are also very finicky about RAM.

When CLR_CMOS is performed, you have to disconnect power to the board first.

Both of you, please try removing all of your installed RAM, before performing the CLR_CMOS procedure.  Then try power on, with no RAM installed and see if this gets you beep codes (no memory). If the same behavior after doing this, remove the GPU if installed, put one stick of RAM in a random slot and perform the CLR_CMOS again, power disconnected, then attempt power on again.

Based on the feedback from others, these boards appear to get "stuck" for lack of a better word.  Some remain this way and are considered DOA, some have come back from this "dead" state.  You can't flash until you have POST.
