I have a GA-MA78LM-S2H motherboard witha BFG 9600FT OC in the PCI-E slot
A SPDIF passthrough cabel and a DVI-HDMI connector going to my TV.
No matter what i do i do not get any sound through the HDMI cable to my telly.
The Realtek HD Audio Manager is not showing on Windows 7 and have set theSPDIF audio in the "Sounds" in Windows 7 control panel and the green bar shows audio passing through it.
Any help would be appreciated to get the sound via the HDMI cable.

Hi
If you want to transfer sound over HDMI then check this:
- enter BIOS, go to Advanced BIOS Features then set Graphics Display Mode to D-SUB/HDMI
- after installing the HDMI device (like your TV), set the default device for sound playback as the HDMI device
- install Realtek ALC888B sound drivers from:

Will i need to adjust the bios if i am using the BFG 9600 GT and not the onbaord HDMI port

Try with integrated VGA only, if it works then the issue is more with BFG add-in VGA than the MB
