Title: Z170X-GAMING 7 save and exit bios behaviour

Hi, when you press F10 and exit bios, is it supposed to shutdown completely then restart after a few seconds? My board used to do that but no longer shuts down just restarts. I was just wondering why the change all of a sudden?

Hello,

Depends on the settings changed and BIOS coding.
Some of the older BIOS'es would do a power cycle no matter what you changed which is completely unnecessary.

When it comes to changing CPU related settings such as memory timings, CPU ratios and voltages it is sometimes required.
