I have just installed an EP45T motherboard after lightning took out my Asus one. Since installation, whenever I shut down unexpectedly (and I'm still finding damage from the lightning) and the startup goes to the Win Error Recovery screen I cannot choose any of the options, it is as if my keyboard was not connected. The screen has to time out on the start normally choice. I have never run into this before and cannot find any info relating. Can anyone out there help?

Hi,
If it's a USB keyboard there is a BIOS setting to turn on legacy usb capability for both the mouse and the keyboard.
Other than this I'm not sure :S
Ciao

The most obvious solution is as kominid has described but if that doesn't help you can at least reduce the time you have to wait by changing the settings in Control Panel/System/Advanced system settings/Advanced/Startup and Recovery and reducing the times. ;)
