Title: BIOS issue and P55-UD4P
Post by: ocukace on May 19, 2010, 09:36:09 pm
Hey guys

I have a P55-UD4P motherboard I cannot flash the BIOS as all the flash utils.  DOS/Windows and the BIOS built in one all register a checksum error when trying to update the BIOS and wont install the later revision.

The Current BIOS is showing as D3 in CPU-Z

Any ideas?

Did you update with @BIOS utility?

Don't use @bios to flash, it is waaaaaaay to risky and using that thru windows will more than likely turn your mobo into a shiny doorstop! If your going to flash use qflash. Here is a link that will teach you how to flash this way

I know how to flash the BIOS using the BIOS flash util, but the program checks the BIOS file to ensure it's correct, but it fails the checksum error.

I have a feeling that it maybe due to the board being a pre-production model?

But not sure.
