Hi all, I’m based in the uk and this is my first post. I’m going to build my first PC and have selected this Gigabyte motherboard: GA-H270-HD3-ATX-LGA 1151 and hope to pair it with an Intel Pentium G4600 3.6GHz Duel Core.
On the Amazon UK website a comment posted says:
“This motherboard will not even post if you use a Kaby Lake cpu. You need to flash the BIOS first using a Skylake cpu.”
Is this comment true please?

Rev 1 of this board supports G4600 since BIOS F1. This is probably the shipping BIOS.

shadowsports, thanks for your reply. Please excuse my lack of understanding but does this mean it will work ok and not require a BIOS update?

Yes. This board (v1.0) with BIOS F1 or later supports a G4600 CPU according to the chart I referenced previously.
