Hi all!
I'm planning on buying the Gigabyte board with OCZ Platinum DDR3-1600 3x2048MB (OCZ3P1600LV6GK).
Are there someone with experience with this combination?

Hi
I can only say that there are a few compatibility problems with Gigabyte motherboards and OCZ memory in general. I would suggest going with Corsair or Crucial etc.

OK with the x58-ud3r, so it should work even better with yours.

6GB of 1600MHz OCZ Gold Series working great :D

Gigabyte always seem to lean towards Kingston especially their top memory.

I'm using GSkill ECO series (2x2GB) and have no problem so far.

All joking apart it is perfectly feasible to paint a board(not fans as it throws them out of balance). I have done it myself just as an experiment and it worked fine. I even used silver paint for the motherboard and black for all the memory, cards, etc. Looked really cool and worked fine. ;D
There is even a website dedicated to doing this.
