I just bough MA785GT-UD3H and installed it. I haven't installed a new clean OS before I started it up. Everything else seems to work right but my usb wireless logic mouse. I'm thinking about doing a new clean install of windows XP and loading the AMD raid drivers hoping this helps the situation. Do you think this will fix the issue or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Hi,
Not sure if I understand correctly but from your post did you use a previous install of Windows XP, that you had on an old HDD?I haven't installed a new clean OS before I started it up
If that is the case it would definitely be worth doing a clean Install of the OS but you shouldn't need RAID drivers unless you are using a RAID Array. Once you have done a clean install, load the Mobo drivers that you need, reboot, then load other drivers. Then it should be OK.

also windows xp may not recognise the usb wireless mouse out of the box
the driver may need to be loaded to handle whatever wireless technology the mouse uses before it works.
Its just like Linux confuses the function of the DPI selector for one of my mice and won't work when I use it.
you may have to nip out and get a cheap wired mouse for the install.
good luck

The usb wireless mouse worked before I changed motherboard. To verify I'm using a previously installed OS on a HDD. But I will take and do a fresh os install. Thank you for all advice

Hi
I am suprised that is the only problem that you have if you are still using an old install of windows from a previous setup. I would definitely make a fresh installation my prime objective.

I did a format of the hard drive and I reinstalled Win XP and the mouse works great thanks to all that helped me. Now off to find a better program to watch my core temps.

Hi,
For a quick readout of CPU temps I use Core Temp, it does the job and just sits in the Notification area of the Task Bar, so Iyou can keep an eye on it as I am working.
If you want to try it you can get it from here: http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/
