First post so be gentle!!
I did search forum and found only a partial solution about underclocking one set of chips. I prefer to have them all at correct speed.
GA-770TA-UD3 (rev. 1.0) latest F3 bios
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W CPU
OCZ AMD Black Edition 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model OCZ3BE1600C8LV4GK
items purchased from Newegg
I cannot get system to boot with more than 4gb (2 ram chips) installed and they have to be in slots 1 & 3 or 2 & 4.
System boots and runs perfect with 4gb set at PC1600 in bios. setting are correct at 8,8,8, 24 also, voltage is correct.
According to Gigabyte's memory compatibility list for OCZ ram, they list the 6gb packages.... isn't that tri channel and not relevant to this dual channel mb anyway?
Just wondering if anybody had any luck besides that partial solution above? I am also waiting to hear from tech support.

Having just checked on the official memory compatibility list there are only three OCZ modules for 1600Mhz RAM as folows:
O16C1 2GB OCZ OCZ3P1600LV6GK DS v v
O16C2 2GB OCZ OCZ3G1600LV6GK DS v v
OET16C1 2GB OCZ OCZ3X1600LV6GK DS v v
I think that maybe you were looking at the wrong page. However that doesn't get away from your problem which looks like the memory is incompatible with your motherboard.

Thanks,
Here are a couple things I forgot to include.
DCTS Mode - Unganged
Bank Interleaving - Enabled
Channel Interleaving - Enabled
The ram works perfectly with 2gb or 4gb installed,,, so I am not sure it is totally incompatible. I do not know why their compatibility list shows OCZ 6gb tri channel kits. Their compatibility list doesn't say when it was last updated. The MB is single/dual channel.....
Still waiting for their tech support answer,, will post it if they tell me anything worthwhile
