Title: Control-W only works with XP?
Post by: David Stodolsky on June 19, 2010, 08:00:05 pm
I can't get consistent close tab action with a browser window except with XP. Trying to run ubuntu 10.4. - 64 bit
If I pull down the menu and select close tab, it works. A cntrl-W will work once after that. Sometimes it will work for a while.

Sorry I am not that familiar with Linux but I can tell you that it works with other flavours of Windows including Win7 64bit. I will see if I can get VenGanZa to look at your post as he is very up on Linux.

Hrmm, well you do not say what browser you are using.

I have no idea what Ubuntu uses these days, since I can't stand the rotten thing, however why don't you install Firefox, that is the only browser I use in either Windows or Linux, and last time I used tried in Linux CTRL+W worked just fine.
