My P35C-DS3R Rev.1.0 board works perfectly with bios F8.
After upgrading to anything above (F9, F10, F11, F12), system fans work at their maximum speed.
I have tried many times before and couldn't succeed so went back to F8.
What should I do? :-\
BR :)

Well the general rule is don't update the BIOS unless you are having some problems(Dont fix what aint broke). I would say if your board is running happily on F8 then just leave it at that.

When I am running on F12, besides the fans running like hell, the performance seems to be better.
Could this be true or is it just my imagination? :) Cause I think a better CPU support is given with the version above F8.
I have another board which is Rev.2.0 and it also does the same thing.
Truly, didn't you had any complaints about this problem before? If anyone found a solution, could you please let me know?
Thanks a lot... :) togay@ttmail.com

I would suggest running some software to actually benchmark the speeds at different BIOS versions because it is very easy to be fooled by a machine that sounds faster because of the fans going at full speed. These things are sometimes subjective as opposed to objective.
